One Wild Ride — Sara Amodio

Sara Baird Amodio, EdD, lives in Boulder, Colorado, but originally hails from Kansas City and is a lifelong Chiefs fan. In 2015, at the age of 43, doctors diagnosed Sara with ANCA-positive EGPA vasculitis, a form of ANCA vasculitis. Prior to her diagnosis, Sara was a K-8 school principal and assistant professor of nonprofit management. She holds an EdD in educational psychology and an MSW in international social work.
Sara enjoys traveling and learning new languages. Proficient in Swedish and French, she is now trying to learn Italian so that she can eventually retire with her husband in Italy. Sara is passionate about advocating on behalf of the vasculitis community and learning about exciting new research that helps people with vasculitis live fuller lives.
